Be it resolved that the Township of Greater Madawaska Council calls to order the August 12, 2019 Regular Council meeting at 5:31PM "

That the Agenda of the Council meeting of August 12, 2019 be approved as presented. "

That subject to comments received at the public meeting, Council approves By-law 49-2019 to rezone those lands located in part of Lot 19, Concession 2, Blythfield, to create site specific zone provisions which will facilitate the conversion of the existing 26 accommodation units from single ownership to individual condominium units. "

That subject to comments received at the public meeting, Council approves by-law 50-2019 to rezone the lands in part of Lot 19, Concession 2, Blythfield, to permit resort residential development. "

That subject to comments received at the public meeting, that Council approves By-law 51-2019 to rezone part of Lots 11 and 12, Concession 9, Bagot, from General Industrial (GM) to General Industrial-Exception One (GM-E1) to permit a Refreshment Vehicle. And furthermore that Council approves a modified Zoning By-law amendment application fee of $700 for the subject application. "

WHEREAS The Renfrew County Legal Clinic (the Clinic) has delivered services in Renfrew County for over 30 years. They provide direct front line legal services to low income clients across Renfrew County and our service numbers continue to go up annually. They are an extremely busy legal office; AND WHEREAS The Clinic assists area residents who cannot afford legal assistance due to financial hardship – including those on social assistance, pensioners, the unemployed, or those with low income; AND WHEREAS The Clinic’s services are aimed at ensuring that people with low incomes are able to meet their most basic needs, which in turn gives them the ability to live with health and dignity as active members of their community; AND WHEREAS The Clinic is committed to upholding the rights of the most vulnerable people of Renfrew County on issues that are most critical to them – including Canada Pension Plan, Ontario Disability Support Program Workplace Safety and Insurance, Ontario Works, Landlord and MINUTES - Regular Council August 12, 2019 Page 3 of 7 Tenant, Criminal Injuries Compensation, powers of attorney, wills, human rights, consumer and debt issues, administrative legal issues and many other areas that impact low-income people; AND WHEREAS The Clinic carries out this work through funding provided by Legal Aid Ontario (LAO); AND WHEREAS Budget cuts could result in the closure of the Renfrew County Legal Clinic and will result in a loss of legal services to low income residents

That Council approve the updated rental contract for the Calabogie Community Centre and Barnet Cottage; MINUTES - Regular Council August 12, 2019 Page 4 of 7 And that Council approve the updated Municipal Alcohol Policy as presented. "

That Council approves the appointment of Andrina Butler and Joanne Levitsky to serve on the Greater Madawaska Public Library Board. "

Be it resolved that the following minutes are approved by Council:  July 15, 2019 Regular Council Meeting "

That the Regular Council meeting of August 12, 2019 at 8:00 PM enter into closed session pursuant to Section 239(2)(f) of the Municipal Act regarding:  Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose - Trailer Park "

That the Regular Council meeting of August 12, 2019 move back into Open Session at 8:08 PM "

That Council instructs the following as a result of Closed Meeting Items:  Advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose - Trailer Park Proceed as directed in Closed. "

Be it resolved that the following By-Laws:  49-2019 ZBA 1906.12 Calabogie Peaks Base Mountain  50-2019 ZBA 1906.6 Calabogie Peaks (2)  51-2019 ZBA 1906.13 Powell & Price be deemed read a second and final time and passed by Council; And furthermore, that  52-2019 Confirmatory be deemed read a first, second and final time and passed by Council at the Regular Council meeting held August 12, 2019 "

That the Regular Council Meeting of August 12, 2019 be adjourned at 8:26 PM. "
